Ivbiogie, Benin – The Jesus Freedom Covenant Ministry held its 2024 annual Harvest Thanksgiving Service of Abundance with a call for renewed dedication to God and generous giving. The spiritual leader of the ministry, Bishop Dr Lucky Omonabeise Ahevboria, urged attendees to seek God's guidance and sow bountifully into His kingdom to attract divine blessings in the coming year.

Speaking from the church altar, Bishop Ahevboria emphasised the importance of giving within the church, countering the scepticism some hold about such acts. He stated, "Many people believe in the devil more than in giving to God, but obedience to the prophet leads to prosperity." He further explained that the harvest thanksgiving period is an opportunity to give back to God, who, in turn, blesses His followers abundantly.

The soft-spoken cleric, affectionately known as "Ororo" by his admirers, expressed gratitude for God's faithfulness throughout the year. He highlighted the absence of death among church members and called on everyone to celebrate this milestone with joy, entering 2025 with hope, happiness, and divine protection.

The guest speaker, Rev Edmond Ossia, also underscored the significance of the harvest thanksgiving. He noted that the celebration is a way to honour God for His blessings throughout the year and to open the door to greater grace in the year ahead.

He urged the congregation to reject Satan and his agents, affirming that as children of God, they are shielded by the Almighty.

A notable highlight of the event was the recognition of the spiritual mother of the church, Pastor Mrs Rose Omonabeise, by the Media Watch International Award Committee. Additionally, Bishop Ahevboria was presented with the 2025 Personality Almanac in recognition of his spiritual leadership and contributions to the church community.

The joyous service was marked by songs, prayers, and celebration, as members expressed their gratitude and commitment to God's work, looking forward to a year filled with blessings and divine favour.
