Kwara State College Student Allegedly Killed for Ritual, Daddy G.O and Son Arrested

A tragic incident has shaken the community of Offa, Kwara State, following the discovery of the body of a missing female student from the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa. 

The student, identified as Awesu Mojisola Morufat, who had recently completed her studies in the Public Health Department, was found dead in a bush in Ilorin under suspicious circumstances.


Mojisola, who had celebrated her signing out on the 6th of August, was allegedly murdered for ritualistic purposes. 

Sources close to the investigation told Uptown Press that, she was lured to Ilorin by her boyfriend, identified as Promise Ogunse, under the guise of attending a friend’s birthday party. Once in Ilorin, she was invited to a hotel, where she was later killed.


The discovery of her body at a dumpsite has sparked outrage and fear within the community. It is believed that hotel staff may have disposed of her remains after the alleged assailants fled the scene. 


A source familiar with the investigation stated, "Yes, the lady was invited by the pastor’s son to a hotel in Ilorin. Her body was found at a dumpsite. The police have since apprehended the suspect and his father, who is a pastor. Both are currently detained at the police headquarters in Ilorin."


The police have arrested not only Promise Ogunse but also his father, Prophet Adeniyi Adebayo, widely known as Ogunse. Prophet Adebayo is the head of The Light of God Miracle Embassy Church in Offa. 

The father and son are being held at the police headquarters in Ilorin as investigations continue into their alleged involvement in the gruesome murder.


The case has drawn significant attention from the public, with many calling for justice for the slain student. The Kwara State Police Command has yet to release an official statement, but sources confirm that the investigation is ongoing.
