Lamentation as popular Islamic Scholar Mufti Yaks Dies In Abuja

Nigeria mourns the passing of well-known Islamic scholar and motivational speaker, Abdullateef Aliyu Maiyaki, also known as Mufti Yaks, who reportedly passed away after a brief illness at the National Hospital in Abuja on Saturday, June 1, 2024. 

The news was confirmed by former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, who expressed his sadness and offered condolences on his Facebook page. 

The cause of Maiyaki's illness has not been disclosed. The prominent Islamic scholar Mufti Menk also expressed his condolences and sorrow over the loss of the young and talented Abdullateef Aliyu Maiyaki.
