Guber Race: Edo Deputy governor, Omobayo vows to represent the interest of Edo youths

The Edo State Deputy Governor, Engr Godwin Marvelous Omobayo today charged youth across the nation to be steadfast, committed, dedicated and resolute in the struggle to rescue and restructure the nation and Edo State in particular especially in the face of the present economic challenges.

He made this statement while addressing the leadership of Afemai Youth Movement, an umbrella body of over 5000 youths in Edo North Senatorial District during a courtesy visit to his office in Benin City the State headquarters.

"As the 2024 Edo State Gubernatorial Election becons, I want to enjoin all Youths across Edo State to queue behind Dr Asue Ighodalo and Barr Osarodion Ogie. It's time for us to come out massively to vote the duo and also protect our votes - Omobayo said.

Responding, the Coordinator of Afemai Youth Movement, General Ceazer congratulated the Deputy Governor noting that his appointment to occupy such an exulted position is a moral booster to all Youths across the State.

Speaking further, he said, "you are one of us, having you here means that there is hope for other youths in the state, thus as a representative of Afemai Youths, we appreciate the Governor of Edo State, H.E. Mr Goodwin Obaseki for choosing one of us, we assure you today, Every Afemai Youths will Vote and secure their votes for PDP Candidates, Dr Asue Ighodalo and Barr Osarodion Ogie - General said.

Climax of the visit was the conferment of Grand Patron on H.E. Engr Godwin Marvelous Omobayo and patron on Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Hon. Abeni Azeez being a very active Youth.
