Umahi shuts down courts as Ebonyi records first Coronavirus death
Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi on Friday ordered the shutting down of all Courts in the state immediately.
The Governor gave the directive in a broadcast to residents. He also ordered all staff of the Judiciary in the state to immediately proceed for COVID-19 testing.
He announced that the state has recorded its first Covid-19 death, which he described as regrettable and saddening.
In June, Umahi ordered the closure of all government offices for fumigation after some members of the state executive council contracted the disease.
Ebonyi has recorded a total number of 234 confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far.
