NCDC Guidelines for Reopening of Worship Centres Nigeria



1 PTF encourages state governments to take responsibilities in the management of Covid_19 in their states.

2 Churches and Mosques are to open between 5am and 8pm daily for regular worships

3. All night Vigils remain suspended till further notice.

4. NCDC has so far tested 65,000 people Nationwide.

5. Religious leaders to develop baseline to manage Covid-19.

6. Mosques open 20 minutes before prayers and close 20 minutes after prayers.

7. Churches and mosques services must not exceed 1 hour every Sundays and Fridays.

8. Religious leaders should ensure that entry points are different from exit points at worship centres.

9. It is advisable that members of the same family always sit together at worship centres.

10. Churches and mosques should ensure that washing equipments and hand sanitizers are always available.

11. Religious gathering both in Churches and Mosques must not exceed 20 people at a time with physical distancing.

12. People of age 55 and above are discouraged from attending religious gathering as mortality rate of the age bracket is ratio 1-5.

13. 60 percent of cases Nationwide is in 20 out of 774 local government areas of the federation.

14. Do not exchange microphones and worship equipments, if you must do that wear your facemask

15.It is advisable you stay at home, don't go out, but if you must go ensure you take precautions.

16. These guidelines are subject to state governments adjustment.
