Kano Emirate Tussle: Embattled Emirs to lead Friday prayers at different location

In the ongoing dispute over the Kano Emirate, two acclaimed Emirs are set to lead Friday prayers at different locations in Kano State, with their respective supporters.

Kano State Police Commissioner, Usaini Gumel, confirmed that HRH Sanusi Lamido will lead Friday prayers at the Central Mosque Kano, while HRH Ado Bayero will lead prayers at the mosque within the Emir's Palace in Gidan Nasarawa.

The case is still pending in court, and in an effort to maintain peace and order, both Emirs will be allowed to continue interacting with their supporters as Emirs until the final judicial intervention.
This move is aimed at preventing any potential escalation of tensions while the legal process runs its course. The decision to allow both Emirs to carry out their religious duties at separate locations reflects an attempt to defuse the situation and avoid any confrontations between their respective supporters.
The authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure that law and order are maintained throughout this period of uncertainty.
