Abia governor to ban cattle truck, close livestock market

The Abia State Government has issued serious warnings to all Northerners that bring in Almajiri through trucks conveying Cattle and cement.
The State Government through the Secretary to the government Mr. Chris Nzem said it will ban trucks carrying cattle and cement from entering the State and also it will close all the livestock markets in the State.


He wonder why the Northerners are smuggle in Almajiri into the State despite the inter-State lockdown that is in place. These Almajiri smuggle in the trucks conveying cattle and Cement.
Mr Chris Nzem described the act as act sabotaging the State Government efforts of containing the spread of COVID-19 in the God's own State. He further emphasise that failure to comply with the State lay down rules on COVID-19 precautions and preventive measures, all the livestock markets will be shut down.
The SSG frowned at their non,-compliance with the safety rules also warned the Northerners from inviting their kinsmen to Abia.
In their responses the leader of Hausa Community Alhaji Yaro Danladi and Chief Imam of Aba Alhaji Idris Bashir promise to abide by the rules of the State.
Recall that Almajiri has continue to defy the inter-State restriction of movement. They are being pushed to the southern States from the northern states.
