OPEN LETTER TO HONOURABLE MINISTER OF HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS, DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

The Honourable Minister,
The leadership of over 500,000 N-Power Volunteers across the 36 states appreciate your effort towards the sustainability of the programme.
After listening to your press briefing on the non approval of October and November Stipend for volunteers and Transition Program for the progressing out beneficiaries, we believe the ministry under your leadership will not disappoint us.
However, we plead with you on behalf of beneficiaries that the outstanding stipends (October and November) should be paid before 20th of December.
It has not be easy for beneficiaries to be at their duty posts without been paid. Volunteers can no longer afford to transport themselves to work, even feeding of the family is challenging.
However, the leadership wish to use this medium to call on all volunteers nationwide to be calm as we trust the leadership of the Honourable Minister.
It is our believe that this passionate appeal will be given a due consideration by you.

Thank you

Jointly Signed By:
36 State Npower Volunteers Coordinators
