Jigawa state government has reaffirmed its support to the activities of the UNICEF in the state.



Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar stated this today when he received chief field officers for Kano and Bauchi states on a courtesy visit at the government House Dutse.

Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar who appreciated the support of UNICEF to Jigawa state pledged to hold a quarterly meeting with the officials and other stakeholders to review activities of the fund and way forward.

Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar said he was delighted with UNICEF interventions in the areas of health, education, nutrition, water sanitation and hygiene.

He assured of the government willingness to partner with any organization that came up with programs that will improve wellbeing of women and children in the state and thanked the officers for the visit.

Earlier, the chief of the Bauchi field officer Mr. Bhanu Patak assured that UNICEF will continue supporting Jigawa state to meet yearning and aspirations of the common man.

Mr Bhanu Patak explained that they are conducting nutrition, water sanitation and hygiene program in 60 states across the globe out of which Jigawa state became the best.

He therefore commended Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar for his commitment and dedication to releasing of counter founding.

Before the visit UNICEF Kano and Bauchi field officers held end of the year review and the state engagement plan meeting at 3 star Hotel Dutse.
