Edo Council boss flags Off Measles Containing Vaccine 2 In Iviari

The Ag. Chairman of Etsako East Local Government, Hon.(Mrs) Benedicta Ebuehi today flagged off the introduction of measles containing vaccine 2 (MCV 2) into the routine immunisation schedule in Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, the Ag. Chairman said, i want to use this medium to call on all parents here and those not here today, to take all their children from 15- 23 months to the nearest health centre or outreach to get them vaccinated with with different antigens as all health facilities and outreach will be opened daily from 14th - 18th of November.

She further explained  that children of 15 - 23months who have taken the 1st dose of Measles containing vaccine should also go to the second dose of Measles containing Vaccine, and be rest assured that these Vaccine are Effective, Safe and Free for children.

The Etsako East PHC Coordinator,  Dr Stevenson Ojiefoh encouraged nursing mother to come out and immunise their children against deadly Diseases.
Dr.Ojiefo urged the people to also check their sugar level to know their status.
A representative of Iviari community, commended the acting chairman for her leadership style since she assumed office and urged her to keep up her good work. He sai that they have found joy since she assumed office.
