Trump sacks national security adviser John Bolton from office
Bolton: I offered my resignation to Trump last night and told me “we’ll talk about it tomorrow”
US President national security adviser, John Bolton, on Tuesday presented the details of his resignation.
In a tweet on a Twitter account, Bolton said: “I offered my resignation last night, and President Trump said: Let’s talk about it tomorrow.”
Bolton published his tweet minutes after Trump’s announcement, also via Twitter, that he told his national security adviser that “his services are no longer needed at the White House.”
The president made clear he disagreed with many of Bolton’s proposals, as others in his administration have done.
