The Governor was taken round by the Commissioner of Environment, Engr. Kabir Mohammed Wanori went to see all the prone areas.

Governor Zulum while addressing the community leaders of the two places he visited assured that Borno State Government would provide a lasting solution to all the affecting communities.

However, Governor Zulum directed the Ministry of Environment to liaise with the Centere for Disaster Risk Management, University of Maiduguri to carry out a detailed feasibility study of MMC and Jere in order to forestall future occurrences.

In addition, the Governor directed the Department of Land and Survey, Governor's office, to come up with the detailed plan of the entire metropolis and Jere Local Government Area.

Governor Zulum proceeded to the Ramat Polytechnic water facility where he directed the Commissioner of Water Resources to immediately forward a proposal for the restoration of the facility to his office for approval.
The facility with a pumping capacity of 5 million liters of water per day serves Bolori, Wulari, Police Barracks, Moduganari, parts of Bulumkutu and all institutions around Ramat Polytechnic. It was established in 1974.

The Governor was however, not happy for seeing a new generator at the premises of the facility left rusting. He therefore warned that his administration would not tolerate the lackadaisical attitude by civil servants where public properties are avoidably allowed to rust.
Such civil servants shall be dealt with accordingly he said.
