Silence Of Presidency Amid Npower Transition Plan, Unpaid Backlogs And Stipends Signals Systemic Failure

From Comrade M.K Soron Dinki

Despite Npower programme has been shifted to the Ministry Of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management And Social Development, Presidency should look into how the minister Sadiya Umar Farouk handles the tangible resources (youths) of the country.
Sadist Farouq, Disaster Minister

Government is a system. Thus, a failure in one part will affect the whole system. Feedback is the major aspect of a responsible and responsive system of government despite the opaque nature of it. Read David Easton's system theory.

Amid Npower caucus, what happens in the new ministry regarding the downgrade of nearly 500 thousand literate volunteers signals failure in Nigerian government. The children of poor have been sacked informally.

As a government, it's informal to be silent rather than be responsible and responsive to the popular demands or complains. There are so many ways to dispose demands but it's never in the way the minister does. We read and have seen how the system functions in the world. Don't take Nigeria back to analogue system of governance. We have passed that level for God's sake.

In the first place, nobody forced the minister to promise on transition plan. She said it times without number over different media platforms. What happens afterwards? What's wrong with June and July stipends? What's up with devices of many beneficiaries?

Actually, we solicit with stakeholders and people involved to look into this unhealthy situation created for the children of poor in the name of empowerment. They deserve national consideration. Nigeria is our country. We share the same national destiny.
We are still grateful to Buhari. May we see the best.
