Auchi Polytechnic appoints new Registrar
The Governing Council of Auchi Polytechnic has approved the appointment of Dr. Godwin Ehikilen Ihionkhan as the substantive Registrar of the Polytechnic. In a statement made available to Strategic Media on Sunday in Auchi, the appointment which is effective from June 13, is for a period of five years in the first instance.
The statement read in part, "Ihionkhan holds the Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of Benin, the Masters Degree in Guidance and Counselling of the University of Lagos and a Doctorate degree of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, also in Guidance and Counselling.
It added, "He joined the services of the Polytechnic in 1990 as an administrative officer and rose through the ranks. He served in various divisions of the Registry becoming the Acting Registrar in March this year, a position from which he has now been appointed substantive Registrar."
Dr Ihionkhan has attended several management courses nationally and internationally. He is married and blessed with children.
I a related development, the Governing Council has also renewed the appointment of Venerable Godwin Okpeodua as Deputy Rector (Academics). The appointment which is for another period of two years is effective from June 13th, 2019. Okpeodua is a Chief Lecturer and was before his first appointment as Deputy Rector, the Dean of Students' Affairs.
