Kebbi State is Committed to Provision of Basic Amenities

Kebbi State Government says, it will continue to provide the necessary basic amenities to all nooks and corners of the state through the execution of development projects.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, a copy of which was made available to Strategic Media on Monday, says, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu affirmed this during traditional Sallah homage by Emirs, Civil Servant, Labour Leaders, Local Government Chairmen, Non-Indigene and Foreign Nations resident in Kebbi State.

Others who paid similar homage were APC State Chairman, Traders Groups and Miyetti Allah Association.

In an address the Emir of Gwandu Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar said traditional rulers were happy about the way the state government has acknowledged their contribution towards maintenance of peace and tranquillity among the people.

He thanked the Governor for implementing people oriented programme in all the Emirates including Roads, Water Supply, Health Care, Education, Agriculture, People Empowerment and Power Supply.
He reiterated the support and loyalty of traditional institutions to the administration.

On his part the Head of Service, Alhaji Abubakar Udu Idris expressed appreciation to the Governor for regular and prompt payment of salary on 25th of every month as well as other entitlements to civil servants and retired workers.

Alhaji Abubakar Udu Idris advised the state government to as a matter of urgent recruit more personnel into the systems to fill the gap left by retires and strengthen training and retraining of civil servants.

The Head of Service used the occasion to request civil servants to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their duties.

Bala Sani Kangiwa, Eze Ibo of Kebbi State on behalf of the non-indigene and foreign nationalists led by Salisu Sa’idu, Chairman of Jega Local Government, Barrister Shehu Marshal Jega, and Chairman of Traders Association Alhaji Umar Dangura.
