Etsako West Council Boss to Decongest Jattu Market

The Chairman of Etsako West local government in Edo north senatorial district, Mr Yakubu Musa on Monday disclosed that the Jattu market will this Friday be decongested in order to clear the Auchi-Fugar road of street trading.

He made this known at an interactive session with a group of journalists in Edo north. He reiterated his electoral promise to work for his people with a view to bringing the dividend of democracy to people while soliciting the support of the press through adequate publicity of the council's activities.
The Chairman noted that the Jattu market occupies a conspicuous location and the activities of street traders have resulted into indiscriminate occupation of public space which serves as impediment to free-flow of pedestrian and motorised traffic.
Mr Yakubu said that mobile court and members of the security agency will be drafted to the market to enforce the decision of the Council.
