Benin City was abuzz on Saturday as Dr Bright Enabulele, the Accord Party candidate in the 2024 Edo State governorship election, made a passionate call for national unity while reflecting on his political journey.

The occasion, organised by Solution Magazine, included an award presentation and the launch of a book chronicling his life and career.

Dr Enabulele used the platform to address secessionist calls threatening Nigeria's unity. “Nigeria is not going to break apart,” he stated emphatically. “The youth are united across regions. Whether you’re from the Southeast, Midwest, or North, the youth speak one language. Anyone thinking this country will disintegrate is wasting their time.”

He further highlighted Nigeria’s untapped potential, describing it as a country rich in human and material resources. “If well-managed, Nigeria could become one of the most powerful nations on earth within 20 years. This is a country of great possibilities,” he added.

Dr Enabulele stressed the critical role of the youth in building the nation’s future. “For me, politics is about creating a better tomorrow, empowering the youth, and revitalising our economy. Unity in diversity is our strength, and it is time we focus on collective growth,” he emphasised.

The event also marked the launch of a biography, “The Man, Dr Bright Enabulele: His Journey to Politics, Lessons and Expectations”, authored by Dr. Raphael Ayemere, Managing Director of Solution Magazine.

The book offers an in-depth look at Dr Enabulele’s political philosophy, achievements, and challenges.

Speaking about the book, Dr Enabulele said, “This is a personal account of my journey, my values, and the things I stand for. It reflects my contributions as a social advocate and a FinTech innovator, particularly as the founder of Odua Coin, the first blockchain financial system by a Black founder.”

Odua Coin, described as more than just a cryptocurrency, was celebrated for its secure and revolutionary blockchain infrastructure. Dr Enabulele called on readers to delve into the book to gain insights into his vision and contributions to technological advancement.

The Chairman of the event, Dr Ibrahim Bello Dauda, commended Dr Enabulele’s ground-breaking achievements in the FinTech sector.

According to him, “Dr Enabulele is one of the bedrocks of blockchain technology globally, yet he remains underappreciated in his own country. His accomplishments in launching the first African cryptocurrency and empowering local entrepreneurs through innovative platforms deserve recognition,” Dr Dauda said.

He added, “By combining global success with local impact, Dr Enabulele is a beacon of hope for Edo State and Nigeria. His initiatives, like providing loans to small businesses, will uplift communities and strengthen our economy.”

The event saw numerous commendations for Dr Enabulele’s political vision and personal integrity. Dr Ayemere described him as a leader driven by conviction, transparency, and a passion for good governance.

“This book is a testament to his ideals and the challenges he has faced. It’s a pride not only for him but for all Nigerians,” Ayemere noted.

The Master of Ceremony while reviewing the book also lauded Dr Enabulele’s progressive political ideas and recommended the book as an essential read for those interested in understanding cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of leadership awards to Dr Enabulele and other distinguished guests, including Hon Barrister Eric Okaka, Hon Stephen Idehenre, Hon Inegbeboh Ojie Eugene, and Chief Eric Eromosele Ebosele.

The gathering was a celebration of resilience, innovation, and a collective commitment to building a unified Nigeria. Dr Enabulele’s message resonated with attendees, reinforcing the importance of youth-driven progress and the power of diversity in shaping the nation’s future.
