UNIBEN to Honour Edo NUJ Chairman, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, in Faculty Hall of Fame on October 23

 The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is set to induct Dr. Festus Alenkhe, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, into the Faculty of Management Sciences Hall of Fame. 

This prestigious event will take place on October 23, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the Professor Festus Iyayi Building located on the Ugbowo Campus of the University.

The induction ceremony, which will also feature a public lecture, recognises Dr. Alenkhe for his outstanding achievements and contributions to the field of journalism. 

His dedication and influence within the media sector have earned him this prestigious accolade.

In a letter addressed to Dr. Alenkhe, Professor A. O. Enofe, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, stressed that the honour is in recognition of Dr. Alenkhe’s exceptional commitment to his profession, marking him as an influential and distinguished leader in his field. 

The event is expected to draw attention from academics, journalists, and members of the public as UNIBEN honours one of the most prominent figures in the media industry.
