Edo State Government Relieves Commissioner for Health of Duties, Appoints New Adviser

Benin City - The Edo State Government has announced the immediate removal of Dr. Samuel Alli from his position as Commissioner for Health. 

The announcement was made today by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Osarodion Ogie.

Governor Godwin Obaseki approved the decision, instructing Dr. Alli to hand over all government documents and resources to the most senior civil servant within the Ministry of Health. The governor expressed gratitude for Dr. Alli’s service and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.

Ogie emphasized the governor's commitment to achieving his administration’s objectives, stating, “The governor is resolute on his finishing strong objective and will remove any obstacles that may hinder optimal service delivery to the people in the remaining four months of his administration.”


In the wake of this development, Dr. Roland Igbinoba has been appointed as Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects. His role will focus on accelerating the completion of developmental projects throughout the State.

The administration remains focused on ensuring efficient governance and improving the quality of life for the citizens of Edo State as it approaches the end of its term.
