Ondo Guber: You’re Not Anointed As Successor’ Late Akeredolu’s Spokesman Replies

Former Chief Press Secretary to the late Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Richard Olatunde, has refuted claims made by the current governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, that the late governor had wanted him to succeed him. Olatunde made his stance clear in a statement provided to journalists in Lagos.
Aiyedatiwa recently asserted that the late governor had expressed a desire for him to take over as governor and mentioned that he was part of his predecessor's legacies. He believed that the deceased leader would have been proud to see him become the next governor if he were still alive.
However, Olatunde countered Aiyedatiwa's assertions on Tuesday, asserting that the late governor had never expressed a wish for Aiyedatiwa to succeed him. He cautioned Aiyedatiwa against using the deceased governor's name for political advantage.
