NFF declares the Super Eagles head coach position vacant

The Nigeria Football Federation has recently declared that the position of head coach for the Super Eagles is now vacant. This announcement came after reports that the former head coach, Jose Peseiro, rejected an improved salary of $80,000, as he was asking for a higher salary of $120,000 per month. It is believed that this disagreement over salary was the primary reason for his departure from the team.

To fill the vacant position, the NFF has now opened up applications and is inviting interested and qualified applicants to apply for the role. The position of head coach for the U-17 boys national team is also available, and applicants can apply for this position as well.

Those interested in applying for either of the two positions can do so virtually through the NFF website or physically at the General Secretary's office. The deadline for application submission is March 12, 2024, at 6 PM. The NFF is looking for experienced coaches who can effectively lead and manage the teams, promote teamwork, and work collaboratively with other members of the coaching staff and management.

The NFF is committed to promoting fairness and transparency throughout the selection process, and all applications will be reviewed carefully to ensure that only the most qualified candidates are selected for the roles.
