Alimikhena who is also called the oracle of development maintain that Obaseki has concluded plans for the multi sectoral developmental approach that will enhance Edo economic based to withstand the current shock of the global financial crisis and drop in oil prices. APC is committed to the principle of democracy and we have to build infrastructures that match our aspiration. It’s the primaries that will determine who represents the party in the main election and we must give our support to the man that has the capacity and leadership ability as we go to the field.
Taking a swipe at the attackers and accusers of Godwin Obaseki, the deputy chief whip of the senate said we are a united party, and united we shall remain because our strength lies in our unity. He appealed to other aspirant in the race to extend their support to Obaseki rather than inciting the public against him. He particularly appealed to madam Igbafe and her women group to run an issue based campaign rather than using an unpleasant language in an internal family politics. Senator Alimikhena added that the outcome of the primary will not divide us as one big family. We have proposed as human, but the final result belongs to God. Whoever that finally emerge as the winner, we will all join to congratulate such a person and work together as a team to deliver our party at the general election. He warns party supporters not to be more desperate than the aspirants themselves.
