FG secures $1.3 billion for Kano-Katsina-Jibiya-Maradi Railway Project

 

The Minister of Transportation, Said Alkali, on behalf of the Federal Government, has achieved a significant accomplishment by securing $1.3 billion for the progress of the Kano-Katsina-Jibiya-Maradi Railway Project. As per a communication issued by the minister's Special Assistant for Public Affairs, Jamilu Ja'afaru, on Tuesday in Abuja. This big step shows progress in building an important infrastructure that will boost the connection between Nigeria and Niger Republic, helping their economies and societies grow even closer. “The securing of $1.3bn for the Kano-Katsina-Jibiya-Maradi Railway Project is a significant accomplishment. “The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Fidet Okhiria, and a senior director with the African Development Bank, Muhammad Abdulrazak, have both endorsed the project as a catalyst for positive change, fostering economic growth and regional cooperation”, the statement partly read.
