Ex-guber aspirant, Umakhihe congratulates new King of Otuo- Uzoyare II

 

Dr Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, OON Congratulates His Royal Highness Godfrey Aigbogun Rotimi Alabi Uzoyare II of Otuo of Land

The former Federal Permanent Secretary and All Progressives Congress chieftain, Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe has congratulated the newly coronated Otuo King Godfrey Aigbogun Rotimi Alabi Uzoyare II. 

In a message titled, "Behold Our King", which was released by the public affairs office of the celebrated public servant, Dr. Umakhihe praised the Uzoyare II, and also prayed for God's blessings and wisdom to enable him lead Otuo sons and daughters in peace and harmony. 

"Congratulations to the Custodian of Otuo Heritage, His Royal Highness, Godfrey Aigbogun Rotimi Alabi, Ovie of Otuo of Land. 

"My Goodself, family and my well-wishers convey our congratulations and best wishes to all Otuo sons and daughters home and abroad and especially, to His Royal Highness Godfrey Aigbogun Rotimi Alabi, King Uzoyare II, on his Coronation as the New Ovie of Otuo Land. 

"May The Almighty God bless HRH Ovie of Otuo Uzoyare II and the Royal Family on this historic event.

"With Sincere Thoughts, Prayers and Goodwill  from Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, OON and Family," the statement read. 

Otuo is an agrarian serene community in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. 

The new Ovie of Otuo is from Ishiokha quarters in Otuo. He is the 11th Ovie since 1922 to be installed. 

Tradition has it that, an Ovie is expected to rules for 10 years, after which a new one takes over along with his Otuogbigbo age group. 

The last king was Ovie  Ojeabuo.
