Gov. Sanwo-Olu Rolls Out 600 Buses on Selected Lagos Route



During a scheduled visit to selected on going project across the state and the recently closed third mainland bridge, Gov. Sanwo-Olu empathize with lagosian while promising to provide buses that will service Ikorodu, Abule Egba, Ikeja, Oshodi then increase bus capacity from Ikorodu to Tafawa Balewa Square.


“Earlier today, I stopped at the Adeniji Adele end of the Third Mainland Bridge to inspect the ongoing effort to ensure the diversion and flow of traffic is on course.
“The repair of this bridge is long over due and I encourage motorists to cooperate with traffic officers.

“I also inspected the redesigned Allen Junction and Lekki roundabouts. I am impressed with the quality of work which will remove the usual gridlock around these areas.”
Sanwo-Olu highlights his commitment in the transportation business, saying; to boost public transportation, we will roll out 600 buses that will service Ikorodu, Abule Egba, Ikeja and Oshodi. The buses will be deployed next month. We will also be increasing bus capacity from Ikorodu to Tafawa Balewa Square.

He also noted and reemphasize the ongoing road/bridge construction at the Agege Pen-cinema axis of Lagos, with specific dates of completion of the project to be October 2020.
“It is important to say again that despite the decrease in the pace of work caused by
#COVID19 on the Pen Cinema Agege Bridge, I want to assure Lagosians that it will be completed by October.”

Gov. Sanwo-Olu concluded by reiterating his undaunted commitment to improve the quality of lives of Lagosians.
