COVID-19: Goodnews for students as FG reopens schools September

This blog learnt on Friday afternoon that schools in Nigeria would reopen in September as the Federal Government finalised discussions on the modalities to be adopted to reopen schools in the COVID-19 era.

An Abuja source on Friday said that all schools would be reopened after they have been put in proper condition.

Recall that the West African Examination Council had put pressure on legislators and executive members of the Buhari's administration to reopen school after the Federal Government declared that SSSIII students in Nigeria will not participate in this year's WAEC May/June exam because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Also on Friday, the Federal Government gave school owners up to 29 July the guidelines on COVID-19 prevention protocol towards safe reopening of schools in across the country.
