Nigeria's legendary guitarist, Majek Fashek dies

The death has occurred of Nigeria's popular reggae singer, song writer and actor, Majekodunmi Fasheke (Majek Fashek) popularly called "The Rain Maker".

He died on the first of June in an hospital in New York. The cause of his death is not confirmed yet.


The death of the music star was announced by his manager, Umenka Uzoma Day this morning  Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

He was 57 years old.

According to Wikipedia, He is best known for the 1988 album "Prisoner of Conscience" and later award-winning single "Send down the rain".

He has worked with various artist world wide, such as Tracy Chapman, Jimmy Cliff, Michael Jackson, Snoop Dogg and Beyoncé.
