Violate Order on 2020 Egwu Imo Akwa Cultural Festival, Risk Arrest, Proseucution - Anambra Police Command

The Anambra State Police Command has warned that it would not tolerate any act of defiance to the suspended 2020 Egwu Imo Awka Cultural Festival by the state government.
Violators stand the risk of arrest and prosecution, the Command declared through its spokesperson, SP Haruna Mohammed,
According to Haruna, the State Police Command would not hesitate to arrest and prosecute any individual or group of persons found violating this government order which was made in the overall interest of 'Ndi Anambra' and other residents alike.
Haruna disclosed this in a press statement made available to Crime Puzzle, stating that the decision was made by the state government as a far-reaching effort to curb the increase in the Corona Virus pandemic.
The statement read in part that, "The Anambra State Police Command wishes to inform the general Public that following the suspension of 2020 Egwu Imo Awka Cultural Festival and other festivals by the Anambra State Government in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the State.
"The Command is determined to enforce the order to the letter and will therefore not hesitate to arrest and prosecute any individual or group of persons found violating this government order which was made in the overall interest of 'Ndi Anambra' and other residents alike.
"In view of the foregoing, the Command solicits the cooporation and understanding of the public by adhering strictly to this government directives in order to enhance public safety and security which the citizens continue to enjoy in the state", the statement added.
