Former Director-General stabs wife to death

A former Director-General of Imo Broadcasting Corporation Sir T.C. Okere has allegedly stabbed his wife to death.

Okere who is 86-year-old was said to have stabbed his wife to death on Monday morning. The incident occurred in Imerenwe Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State.

The deceased aged 77-year-old was a retiree of the Imo State Polytechnics Umuagwo. The couple had married for 50 years.

The State Police Public Relations Officer Ikechukwu Godson Orlando has confirmed the incident. He said the suspect is on the run. But investigation into the matter is on going.
