Enugu State to lift ban on religious gathering



The Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) Enugu State Chapter said Churches across the State will resume normal Services on Sunday May 10, 2020.
The Chairman of Christian Council of Nigeria Enugu State Chapter who is also the Arch Bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria Enugu Most Rev'd Ede Christopher made this known on Thursday. He said they have agreement with the State Government on this that all churches in the State should start their normal service on Sunday 10th May 2020.


Ede urged Christians to observe personal hygiene such as regular washing of hands and use of alcohol based sanitisers. The Ministers and the worshippers should also keep to Social distancing rule as much as possible.
He told the Ministers to use the opportunity to sensitize the worshippers about this dreadful Pandemic and the precautions to follow in order to reduce the spread of the Virus.
In his word, all services must not exceed noon and each section of the service should be short. The gathering must not exceed 20 persons at a section of service.

The State Government has approved that Churches should be back to their normal but we should keep to the guidelines of NCDC.
