Edo NPower volunteers protest non-payment of training allowance

Dear Sir,

LETTER OF APPEAL

We, the Npower volunteers (N-TEACH) in primary schools in Edo State have been communicated with the plan to include N-teach teachers in EDOBEST home teaching programme which we would be glad to be part of.

The idea is laudable by all who mean well for our future leaders. We made bold to pledge our readiness to undertake this crucial task.

However, we have some grievances that we would like you to address sir, so we can be highly motivated to carry out this significant task . These are as follow:
First, EDOBEST training stipends have not been paid to Npower volunteers (N-Teach) by SUBEB since last year.
Secondly, we have not received any commendation from SUBEB, none from the state Government of the day despite our immense contributions to the success of EDOBEST programme. Isn't it true that fathers usually give their children a pat on the back for a job well done, in order to spur them to do more?
Finally sir, our advocacy for permanency has not been acknowledged at all despite series of letters that have been written to relevant stakeholders in the education sector and several meetings held with them.
Sir, we are not known to be disobedient to directives from constituted authorities, but if these grievances aforementioned are not favourably addressed, we might not be invigorated to carryout this directive that aims to better the education of our future leaders.
