Edo 2020: Pastor Ize-Iyamu Campaign Team holds Canvassers meeting

As part of efforts to give landslide victory to a leading governorship aspirant in the forthcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries, the  Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu's Campaign team leader in Afashio Ward twelve in Etsako West local government area of Edo State, Hon.Francis Izuagie,has held inaugural Unit Canvassers  meeting with to drum support for POI to enable him wins the Party's primaries.

Addressing the Canvassers in his residence  drawn from the four units in Afashio,Hon.Izuagie called on them to work assidiously in their respective Communities for the actualization of POI governorship ambition of their Principal, POI.

He said POI is not Political neophyte that is just learning the ropes,but has acquired enough experience and popularity to be governor of the State.

Hon.Izuagie,who was a former South South People's Democratic Party,(PDP) Youth leader said Pastor Ize Iyamu is the best person to lead Edo State at the moment in view of his Political structure that has continue to increase  right from 1999 till date.

He called on the various Unit leaders to continue to market POI to their Communities to mobilize support for the frontline governorship aspirant.

Hon.Izuagie, commended the leadership of the party for the adoption of direct primaries, noting, that the method would give ample opportunity to choose their leaders, stressing that the decision of the party was a welcome development.

The former member,Governing Council of the federal Polytechnic,Offa,Kwara State, called on other aspirants to sheath their sword to support the decision of the party members.

Also speaking,a political leader in the Community,Mr.Nobert Oghiabui, described POI as a man set from God to take Edo people to the promised Land and urged  the Canvassers to work with one mind to achieve the desired goal.

In her remarks,the POI Women leader in Afashio,Mrs Benedicta Momoh sued for unity and Cooperation among the Canvassers to be able to deliver Pastor Ize Iyamu at the primaries.

Present at the meeting include the Secretary,Mr.Alex Adorolo,Unit two Supervisor,Miss Sefiat Ogbolu,Mr.Mike Ekpeh,Sir Hassan Ozemoyah and Mr.Paul Dania.Others were Mrs Helen Asiakpe and Mr.Dada Alolo,Unit four Supervisor amongst others.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed June 22nd,2020 for the conduct of it's governorship primaries.
