Chinese doctors in Nigeria are our guest- CCECC MD

The Managing Director of Chinese Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Ltd, Mr. Michael Yigao says that the Fifteen (15) Chinese Medical Experts that arrived in the country on 8th April 2020 are in the company's care. Mr. Yigao made this disclosure on Monday in Abuja While reacting to questions raised by the media and opposition parties on May 14,2020 as to the whereabout of the Chinese Medical Team.

However Yigao classified that the team came specially to help Chinese Civil Engineering Construction Corporation fight this Pandemic and protect its employees.

Recall that the Federal Government had earlier said that China had offered to assist Nigeria to fight the novel coronavirus by sending Fifteen Health Workers and Professionals the idea which Nigeria Medical Association and other stake holders kicked against.

The Minister of Health Dr. Osage Ehanire was personally on ground at Airport Abuja to officially received these Chinese Experts on 8th April, 2020.

But the story changed when the Minister told the newsmen at the Presidential Task Force briefing on 14th May 2020 that he didn't know the whereabouts of the Chinese Medical experts. He warned the newsmen never to ask him about the Chinese Experts again because Federal Government is not their host and they are not Federal Government guests.

But with the latest revelation by the Managing Director of CCECC Mr. Michael Yigao, with the confession of the Minister of Health Dr. Osagie Ehanire it appears that Nigeria government was deceived to smuggle in these Chinese Experts into the country.
