Auchi Poly begins online lecture for students
Sequel to the Federal Government announcement to commence disinfection and decontamination of schools across the country in preparation for resumption, the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi has announced online lectures for the second semester 2019/2020 session.
In a circular letter to all its staff and students, the Institution stated that online classes for students has commenced.
"...hereby notifies all regular students that online classes for the 2019/2020 academic session has commenced."
The Circular also provided guidelines for both staff and students on the implementation of the online courses.
The Circular reads in part:
To all Academic staff that have gone through their Online training towards creating their courses online..
Pls note the following
1. Get the course(s) you are to teach for the 2nd semester...
2. Use your existing gmail account or create one if you don't have to create your online course using google classroom.
If you forget any step, use your institutional email account to go back into the online training class to refresh yourself on the steps...
3. Get in contact with the classrep for the class you are teaching and send the code for the online classroom u have created to the classrep. A Whatsap group can be created by the classrep and he/she will add you for further instructions to be passed to the class and some discussions...
4. Get your course curriculum and upload the materials/videos you have for them on weekly bases.
You can create your Assignment, Quiz, etc for each topic or as you so choose to create your course..."
To the students, the Circular stated,
For students joining a class:
Students with Android Phone can download Google Classroom App from Play
Store. After Installation, open the Google Classroom App in your phone and
Login with your Gmail Account’s Username and Password.
To Join a Class, follow Step 3 to Step 5 above
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Students should contact their various course lecturers through their ClassReps for Class Code(s) to enable them Join Class(es).
Students can use their existing Gmail Account otherwise, Create a Gmail
Account to Join a Class.
All students should please take note that face-to-face teaching and learning will continue when the federal government permits resumption.
