Nigeria Announces 91 New Coronavirus Cases, Sunday as total infection jumps to 1273




The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Sunday Night, announced 91 new cases of covid-19 in Nigeria, taking the new total to 1273 cases.

NCDC also announced that four patients have been discharged and the death of two more patient confirmed.

Ebonyi Stats recorded its first coronavirus case as a 31-year-old bus driver from from Ukawu who tested positive.

“91 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported; 43-Lagos 8-Sokoto 6-Taraba 5-Kaduna 5-Gombe 3-Ondo 3-FCT 3-Edo 3-Oyo 3-Rivers 3-Bauchi 2-Osun 1-Akwa Ibom 1-Bayelsa 1-Ebonyi 1-Kebbi.

Recal, the NCDC said, earlier today, it was increasing testing across the country with the support of the state governments.

“We are working very closely with States to ensure access to COVID-19 testing if you have fever, cough or difficulty breathing and have been in contact with a confirmed case or live in an area with confirmed cases,” NCDC said.

The centre, further urged the people to be vigilant and observatory, while they take advantage of their state hotline for advice on testing in their area.
