Covid-19: Councillors Commend Akhigbe’s efforts as he Continues to enforce Social Distancing in Markets

The Councillors, Etsako Central Local Government Area led by the Leader Hon. Anthony Iloube Commended the   qualitative leadership demonstrated by the Council Chairman Comrade John Osi Akhigbe based on the various precautionary and preventive measures rolled out by the Council Chairman in fighting the deadly pandemic disease in other to curtail the spread in line with the directive from the State Government.

Hon Anthony gave the Commendation while interacting with the Media Aides to the Council Chairman, Com. Ibrahim Umaru in Fugar, Headquarter of Etsako Central Local Government Area, Edo State on the current outbreak of Coronavirus ravaging the world.



Hon. Anthony asserted that the Council Boss took it upon himself and worked assiduously in taking Etsako Central to the next level despite the inadequate financial resources.

The Legislative Leader stated that Akhigbe has done well to enforce Government guidelines in various wards in the Local Government Areas such as banning of religious gatherings, Marriage ceremonies, Burials, Social gathering and other ceremonies.

He said the directive to maintain proper hygiene, Social Distances and Sanitation are apt and timely by the Council Chairman and charged the good people of Etsako to work together with Comrade Akhigbe to put an end to the pandemic.

In a conversation with the other Councillors, Hon. Peter Adokhuru, Councillor representing the good people of Ward 1, Hon. Zibiri Agboare Councillor representing Ward 3 and others  insisted that Comrade Akhigbe has ensured that there was mutual understanding among the Legislative members in the Local Government.

The Legislative members added that Comrade Akhigbe has done exceedingly well and has been committed to putting in place a sustainable functional system through various Developmental stride in the Local Government Area. They further said that Akhigbe is capable of addressing all the needs of his people as evident in the lives touching projects recorded by his administration in the Council which serves as a mark of respect and a good legacy even after his tenure as Chairman.

The Councillors reassured of their firm support for Comrade John Osi Akhigbe and Governor Godwin Obaseki’s led administration.
