As the COVID-19 indused hunger continues to bite harder, this blog suggests that government should fashion out a way for farmers to return the farm to cultivate the land and grow good for the nation as the current palliative measures for the vulnerable is not sustainable.
They should be taught how to practice social distancing on the farm by extension workers to reduce their risk of contracting the virus in the course of their farming activities.

We need to to save, government needs to save to cushion the long term effect of Coronavirus. We need to get everybody back to the farm immediately. It is the farming season and farmers are being forced to stay at home. The crisis has begun, the farm is the only hope for us. Get farmers back to the farm and stop sharing food to able-bodied men because when government go broke what will you fall back on?
We need to start growing more cassava, groundnut and grains now.
