Livelihood: Borno Governor meets CEO Bank of Industry




Borno Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum was on Thursday evening, at the headquarters of the Bank of Industry in Abuja. The Governor sought the bank’s support in the area of empowering citizens of Borno state so they can be self employed and have means of livelihoods.

The Governor, who met the bank’s managing director and chief executive officer, Mr Olukayode Pitan and top executives of the bank, made special case for citizens of Borno state given the challenges of insurgency which has made thousands of lose their means of livelihoods.

The bank’s CEO, Mr Pitan assured the Governor of support for Borno people. He said the bank had peculiar recognition for the state given regard for the challenges the state has faced.

Governor Zulum left Maiduguri earlier today (Thursday) and headed straight to the Presidential villa for a high level meeting. On ending his meeting at the Villa, the Governor drove straight to the bank of industry where had scheduled appointment.

While in Abuja, Zulum is expected to follow up with different establishments of the federal government to pursue developmental needs of Borno state and try to establish new avenues that will benefit the state.
