Defection rally: School management orders logistic team out of school premises

Following the order by the Edo state government for all private schools to close their schools due to worrisome security threats occasioned by the rising political tension in the state, the management of Garrick Memorial School, venue of the purported defection rally of members of the PDP to EPM have this morning ordered the logistics team sent to set up canopies and chairs out of the school premises before 9am.

According to the management of the school, they have decided to comply with the state government's directive in order to keep the peace and douse unnecessary political tension as well as safeguard the school property from vandals and political thugs.

The management has given the organisers until 9am today to dismantle their platforms and evacuate their premises..
