Balogun fire still burning

The people of Balogun in Lagos have appealed to the Nigerian government to intensify effort in putting out the fire that razed Balogun market this morning.

The fire incident started in the morning and getting worse despite all the efforts of the federal, state and corporate organisations fire fighters. Councils administrations on the Island below sea level have no fire fighting units. This picture was taken at exactly 6:50pm today for a fire that started before 6am.
