5 First Class graduates bag Edo University automatic employment

Five First Class graduates of the Edo University, Iyamho in Etsako West Local Government of Edo State were on Saturday offered automatic employment by the Institution. Also Sterling Bank offered automatic employment to the 5 First Class graduates.
This was made known by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor during the first Convocation ceremony at the weekend.

The VC said: "The university council wishes to offer automatic employment to the five first class graduates as graduate assistants. They will also form the first set of beneficiaries of our TETFund grant to test run our agreement to collaborate with the university of Sunderland in post graduate studies,".

"Today the university achieved another milestone as it graduates its first set of students, the very set that started their academic sojourn in the university in the 2015/2016 academic session"

Professor Aluyor thanked the Edo State governor, Mr. Goodwin Obaseki for his support that has led to what the success achieved by the University.
He charged the graduates to be good ambassador of the Institution as they go into the labour market to serve the nation in the field of their academic discipline.

Responding the Edo State governor, Goodwin Obaseki said that the dream of the founding fathers of the institution has come to fruition with the first set of graduands of the Institution.
"On our part, we priotised education in the State hence investment in the sector."
He later announced a cash gift of #1 million each for the five First Class graduates.
