Governor Zulum Visits CBN Headquarters, Calls for More Support to Borno



Governor Babagana Umara Zulum alongside his colleagues from the 36 States were this evening at the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria in Abuja.

Governor Zulum particularly made his case on the peculiar security concern in Borno and urged the CBN to provide enabling opportunities to his people.

The Governor added to bring lasting peace, and all stakeholders should address the root causes of the insurgency, which is not limited to pervasive illiteracy, unemployment, climate change, among others.

The CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele who addressed the Governors highlighted the interventions of the CBN in various States across the country.

Mr. Emefiele stressed that the meeting is to further re-strategize and strengthen CBN's interventions in States.

The meeting is aimed to develop the agricultural sector through various agricultural value additions and to address the current high rate of unemployment.
