Jigawa State partners Turkish organization to launch distribution of 1, 200 cows

Jigawa state government in collaboration with a Turkish based Nongovernmental organization Hassene has launched the distribution of 1,200 cows to the needy in the society.

About eight thousand people are expected to benefit from the gesture.

Speaking while launching the program at Yakubu Gowon NYSC Orientation camp Fanisau, Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar said the gesture was aimed at assisting less privileged in the society to celebrate Eid-El kabir.

He said the programme was initiated by Turkish indigenes living in Europe to assist the needy in the society.

500 cows were slaughter today; another 500 will be slaughter tomorrow, while 200 will be slaughtered on Tuesday.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Jigawa state government and Hassene for the gesture.
