Edo Assembly crisis: NASS resolution is a mockery of State sovereignty- Oyegun

The immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress and first civilian Governor of Edo state, Chief John Odigie -Oyegun has described the resolution of the National Assembly to a sitting Governor as mockery of a state sovereignty as enshrined in the Nigeria Constitution.

The elder statesman stated this in a chat with journalists in his Benin city residence in preparation for his  eightieth birthday celebration. He explained that governor Obaseki's position is as sovereign as President Buhari's own and should therefore be given similar respect by the lawmakers
