OSUN GUBER:ILERI OLUWA'S CANDIDACY IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

Nearly few days to the period when a candidate will be chosen to fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress at the gubernatorial election to be held on 22nd of September, 2018, some unscrupulous elements in the State of Osun have indulged in satanic agenda concocting unfounded rumour to mislead the teaming supporters of the most outstanding contender, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola,
among those aspiring to become a Governor presently in the State of the virtuous.

It is very unfortunate and sounds unpleasant in our hearing to note that a number of people perceived to have been working for aspirant(s) could descend so low to the extent that their antic is meant to water down the popularity of a generally acceptable contender, embodied with all political weapons to overrun others in the race. Rather, they would have been engaged in advancing the course of promoting their preferred aspirants, if it was understood the aspirations could stand the test of time.

However, we should not afford to abscond from our center of responsibility because of political interest. APC is known to have been a united entity, and should remain so in order to defeat the opposition no matter the motive with which politics is being practised on your side. Surprisingly, some have lost sleep over the aspiration of Ileri Oluwa as if Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola was the only aspirant in the APC. Mind you, what should be paramount important is to disgracefully beat the opposition parties through our ballots in the coming governorship election no matter the candidate presented by the ruling party in the State.

Based on my assertions in the previous write ups, we should jettison zoning to pave way for continuity and consolidation of the series of achievement recorded by Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, Governor, State of Osun. Instead of  reinforcing this for better tomorrow, out of primordial sentiment, certain individuals are castigating me;I am this and that. This is not helping matter but conditionally giving room for opposition to be meddling into the affairs of the progressive family.

We will remain nothing but one formidable and undefeatable family if our egocentric motives are put behind us, but prioritising results-oriented approach which is devoid of zoning colourations. As a matter of fact, knowledge, wisdom and other forms of strategic plannings do not make one to become what one intends to become. Only God determines who becomes what, and it has been written since the beginning. In this regard, it is evident that either left, right or center, a leader is chosen by the greatest, God Almighty.

Though, political players often device means of effecting and making their aspiration manifested yet, they are neither capable of making it realistic nor engendering good returns without God's consent. This illustration can be adduced to the dividends of democracy concentrated on the city of Osogbo alone by the Aregbesola led Administratio. Aregbesola neither hails from Osogbo nor has any lineage with the State capital, still, he plays the roles expected of a true Democrat accordingly. The same gesture or far better opportunity can come the way of the West Senatorial District in the next dispensation.

Meanwhile, Ileri Oluwa, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola has perfected arrangement to address the areas of concern to the agitators of zoning. He(Oyetola) is ready to build upon the good legacy of the Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. Ileri Oluwa has been part and parcel of governance, having gained a lot experience in the administrative system of the State and as one of the most organs which trigger the landmark achievements of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Here, it is understandable that Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola is constantly attacked;his intimidating personality and political sagacity are the root cause. Ileri Oluwa has come to take the mantle of highest leadership in the State. No amount of falsehood that Ileri Oluwa has stepped down can fly. But it would rather be advisable to support this leading contender than resorting to abortive mission, solely aimed at pulling him down.

To illuminate the minds of those agitating for zoning, I had never for once said none of the aspirants from the District was not capable and competent to become a governor, but pointed out that only the cowards could be reinforcing zoning as the birthright. Obviously, we have capable hands from the West Senatorial District but that does not amount to legalising undemocratic plot and  making it democratic by our sheer ignorance or unwarranted lusts for power. Who can categorically bring out the Messiah that will help effect our desires in politics? We are all into politics to get benefitted;only God determines the right direction.

Without mincing word, Ileri Oluwa, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola is generally believed to be the most outstanding contender in the progressive fold in the State of Osun, and has never negotiated with anybody over such baseless rumour, hence, pursuing the governorship race to a fruitful end. Therefore, those peddling falsehood should burry their heads in shame, as Ileri Oluwa will widely win the next governorship election in the State, by His grace.
