EKSU Applauds Fayose's Outstanding Educational Policies .
The management of Ekiti state University has lauded the Governor of Ekiti state, Dr Ayodele Fayose for his outstanding policies pertaining to education which has been of tremendous benefit to tertiary institutions in the state.
According to them, Governor Ayodele's administration has been all inclusive in all aspects and the university has enjoyed its autonomous status devoid of interference from the government.
This was made known at the university's convocation ceremony for its postgraduate students which held today in EKSU, Ado-Ekiti.
Listing the achievements of the Governor in the education sector, it was noted that his administration has brokered for peace, performed cerdibly in the university's infrastructural development, provided funds and steady approval of appropriate programmes for the smooth and steady run of activities.
Similarly, other achievements note that the University has 38 new accredited courses and recorded 100 percent performance during the assessment programme done by the National University Commission.
In attendance were members of the members of Executive council ,Ekiti state University's governing council headed by the Pro Chancellor Barrister Dele Adesina, Vice Chancellor of other universities, Royal fathers, staff members and graduating students.
The ceremony which is the 23rd convocation of the institution holds significant as the last convocation that Governor Ayodele Fayose would preside over as Visitor.
In a related development, the First lady of Ekiti state, Evangelist Feyisetan Fayose and the wife of the Deputy Governor, Deaconess Janet Olusola were among the graduands honoured with Masters degree after successful completion of their programme.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Ayodele fayose said that his deeds with special reference to his innovations in education will speak for him continually even after his tenure as Governor of Ekiti state.
He said, " Ekiti will forever remember my impact in its modernity. Anyone can make a difference thus I have done my bit and posterity will judge me. Ekiti state is my passion and a satisfactory life of its citizens remains of paramount importance."
Also, he identified the power of the citizenry as one that supersedes all others noting that the impending elections would be a major determinant of that fact . This he said is due to the positive idea that continuity is best for Ekiti and urged the academic audience to ensure that an academic in the person of Prof. Kolapo Olusola is voted for.
Referring to the Governor as a transparent man and grassroot politician, the Ooni of Ife Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi said that he regards Ekiti as his second home due to the the hospitable nature he has grown accustomed noting that the state has recorded positive landslides under his leadership.
