NYSC STRATEGIZES FOR 2018 BATCH 'A' ORIENTATION



The National Youth Service Corps has mapped out plans towards having a successful 2018 Batch 'A' Orientation Course.

The Director-General, Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure, stated this today during the debriefing of touring and resident officers that participated in the 2017 Batch 'B' Orientation.

He said there is the need evaluate previous performances and chart new ways of  addressing the challenges experienced.

General Kazaure, who was represented at the meeting by the Director, Planning, Research and  Statistics, Mrs Bose Okakwu, also commended the officers for their various contributions that resulted in the successful conduct of the Orientation Course.

He said the assessment of the level of implementation of the various policies would be invaluable for the planning and execution of the forthcoming 2018 Batch 'A' Orientation and subsequent Orientation programmes.


General Kazaure added that feedback on security matters, sanitation and other camp operations will be considered for future planning.

The Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mrs Bose Okakwu, whose address was read by the Deputy Director, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr Ologun Sunday, said the collaboration between the NYSC and Federal Ministry of Health on Orientation Camp Clinic is yielding positive results.

A total of 113,120 Corps Members were duly registered for the 2017 Batch 'B' Orientation Course nationwide.
