NYSC: Procedure for Redeployment

 Occasion may arise when Corps Members seek to change their state of deployment. Application for such is usually submitted in camp or during primary assignment attaching necessary documentary evidence to support the request. Re-deployment granted on camp is given to the recipient at the same time that, primary posting letters are issued. A Corps member who succeed in the redeployment bid is expected to leave immediately to the state of redeployment and submit himself/herself for validation and clearance in the state at the state Secretariat. There, he/she gets the state code number and a new identity card. The Secretariat undertakes the posting of the Corps member to place of primary assignment.
It should, however, be noted that stringent conditions are, attached to redeployment and can only be granted on the following reasons.

Corps Members on Parade

(I) Marriage: Female corps member's who just got married or officially have wedding plans on ground are granted redeployment accompanied with valid evidence.
(II) Ill-health: Any corps member seeking redeployment on this ground must attach necessary medical report and confirmed by the health sub-committee.
(III) Compassionate: Sometimes, redeployment application could be granted on cases deserving sympathetic consideration. Since the scheme is all about humanitarian and selfless service, it would amount to hypocrisy if those deserving sympathy ate not sympathize with. This is why those with proven cases of compassion are granted redeployment.
