Jehovah's Witness rapes nine-year-old

Auchi –A nine –year-old girl is currently struggling for survival after allegedly raped on Saturday night by a 77 year-old-man in Ubiane near Auchi, Etsako West Local Government, Edo State.

The girl, who was badly injured during the act, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in a hospital at Auchi where she is currently undergoing surgery.

The alleged rapist, Felix Aloyame, an Elder in the religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses was said to have pounced on the little girl like a sex-starved lion when the juvenile went to his shop to collect her mother’s phone which was being charge there and defiled her.

When Strategic Media visited the hospital to see the girl, it was a gory sight as her body was covered with blood dropping from her private part.

She told this reporter: “I was sent by my grandmother to Elder Aloyame’s shop to collect her phone which was being charged there. When I got there, he pulled me inside the shop and ordered me not to scream. He forcibly kissed me while fondling me and removed my pants in the process. He later pushed me down and forced himself on me.

“When I tried to scream, he covered my mouth with his hands and threatened to kill me. When he finished with me, he ordered me not to tell anyone and gave me some biscuits.”

The grandmother later noticed that she was crying and asked her what happened and the girl explained that Elder Aloyame has hurt her badly. She was immediately rushed to Auchi for medical attention.

Effort to speak with the culprit proved abortive as police authorities in Auchi says the case has been transferred to Benin office for further investigation and necessary action.
